sparta

Sparta had the best army of its time. The government was run by two kings, 12 sixty year old men who retired from the army. The army was run by five people are also court judges .Women were allowed to play sports like wrestling, long jump, and races because they thought that made them strong for birth. This surprised the people of Athens.
